Aviso Broking Community – Supporting our team
2022 is the inaugural year of the Rhapsody First Responders Stair Climb. The event is open to 100 Queensland Based First Responders only, with all monies raised donated to the fight against firefighter cancer.
This year Tina Wilkinson, Aviso Broking Compliance Manager reached out to our team for this great cause. Tina’s husband, Gareth Wilkinson, a local firefighter stationed at Mount Tamborine will take part, along with two other colleagues, Damian Bartlett and Andrew Cullen to participate in the Rhapsody Stair Climb.
Gareth, Damian and Andrew must climb 41 flights of stairs (that’s 41 floors) in full breathing apparatus gear including cylinders weighing at approximately 25kg!
This year the Aviso Broking team is raising funds towards Gareth’s (aka Turbo) Rhapsody Stair Climb fundraising for FCFA Limited. The FCFA sets out to promote knowledge, awareness, and advocacy for firefighters diagnosed with cancer.
This is Gareth’s first year participating in the event. The team of three have been preparing for the gruelling climb by hitting the gym daily, working on cardio and walking the stair master!
